Story # 3 - The Protector of Olympus - The Battle Royale

Hi guys. Coral signing in. Sorry for the wait. This month is Exam Month. I have to study all the time. I got some free time now. Anyway, I will tell you what happened with Kronos and Hyperion and all of those other Titans. Now, get comfortable because I’m going to start now. But wait, I have news to tell you. There will be a quiz at the end. Also, this may or may not be the last story. If you want more, comment down below.

I was eating lunch with my demigod friends at a restaurant and we were having a great time. We ate cheeseburgers and drank Cokes, something that’s a treat for them because at camp they get only healthy food. We were having a lot of fun until we heard sounds of terror. We rushed outside and saw a man on fire. He was also surrounded by more fire. We all took one look at the guy and screamed. We screamed because the man was still alive, but he was looking like a zombie. My friends screamed again because the man looked like an exact replica of Atlantis, but then thankfully Atlantis was with us. Oh, for those of you who don’t know Atlantis, he’s my brother. So anyway, people were trying to put the fires out, but my friends and I knew that it wouldn’t work with regular amounts of water. He needed a large amount of water. So, I made sure no one was looking at me and released the water in a nearby water tank. As it gushed past me, I accidently touched it and the water went all glowy and shiny. But it worked. The fire was out. The man was alive. I rushed off.

Once I reached home, I got a very strange headache. Atlantis asked me what was wrong. I said “I don’t know. It feels as if the gods are calling but it’s way too loud. Well, if it is them, will you come with me Atlantis?” He said he would. I realized that it was the gods who were calling me, but they were panicking. Not a very good sign among gods. I sighed and used my new magic power. Just last week, the gods gave me two very efficient powers. I only need to think of the name of the place I want to go. I could also use it for teleporting. The other is that, when in battle, I get speed, agility and I can spot an enemy’s style of battle in one second. Anyway, back to the story now. We were soon standing in front of the gods. Hades was among them. I immediately knew something was wrong. Hades never comes unless it’s the winter solstice or if something was very, very wrong. Anyway, we felt the need to kneel. They all looked at me, and I was shocked to see their faces. They looked so scared. I asked “Why did you call me again? And,what happened to you guys?”

They explained that the two titans we had defeated had gathered Iapetus, Krios and Koios and hundred more Titans (except for Leto, Rhea and a few more peaceful ones) to hunt down the gods and destroy them. I, for once, didn’t freak out. I said “Then what are we waiting for? Let’s go find the demigods at Camp Half -Blood!” Chiron was on duty, even greater! He introduced me to two people, Julius and Annabelle. We four liked each other from the moment we met. We hung out a lot. Atlantis explained my problem to them. They grimaced. Jules and Anna said “Oh… well, that sucks. You want help?” I said “ Sure. The more the merrier. Zeus and all are negotiating with Chiron. Apparently, a lot of demigods from Los Angles and California want to help, and I’m grateful for that. Because, we’re facing the same Titans who battled the gods in the first war, including Atlas. It’s why we can’t battle them alone. Thanks for offering to help, guys. Just don’t get killed.” By then, Zeus had finished the negotiation, and by the look on his face, I thought it went well, so that would mean bye bye Titans, hello peaceful world! He said “It went well. Chiron is going to help us track down these demigods, which will take only few hours. He also said that all the demigods here want to help. We have loads of time, since Kronos is trying to get supplies and more Titans. If you want to join, bring those friends of yours. I think they will be quite useful on the journey.” We all cheered up and away we went, me teleporting with my new friends and the gods, as usual, in their chariot.

(6 ώρες αργότερα (six hours later) ...)

“Umm... Zeus? We’ve found 83 demigods and I can’t teleport more than 85- 88 people. Should we head back now?” I asked. (He accidently said it in Greek. Let me translate. We need to find another 20 demigods Coral. I’ll increase your powers until then, ok? I'll replenish it so you don't get tired during the battle.)” Atlantis whispered to me “You will be fine Coral. You are the strongest demigod I know.” I was fine with that, but I was still a little bit worried. So, anyways, we found the remaining 20 in their houses or outside. We had 103 demigods. We left and prepared for battle. I had to teach them strategies with Athena, and Atlantis helped Dad teach them tricks of the battle. By then, it was the last day. We practiced like crazy, and then figured out which armour was perfect for us and which sword or bow and arrow should we use. We had a restful yet nervous night of sleep.

The day of the battle... (Η μέρα της μάχης)

It was time. We got ready for fight. Each demigod knew where they should lead the enemies who they should battle. It was a proud moment for the gods, so they say, to see us all united and battling to help save Western Civilization and themselves. We stood at the gates and waited. When we saw the army, there were gasps among our army. The enemy was roughly 60 Titans. Me, Julius, Atlantis and Annabelle, shouted “Don’t be afraid. Remember the plan. If something happens, then whistle to show that you’re changing the plan and stick to the new plan.” They cheered and we ran into battle. It was so loud that the Titans stopped and gazed in fear. Kronos yelled “CHARGE!” The battle raged on for roughly 2 weeks. Finally, we defeated almost all the Titans and cornered the remaining. We killed the main 4 - Kronos, Hyperion, Krios, Koios (we left Iapetus, because he just stood on one side, saying that he did not want to fight, and he will stay where he is), yelling gleefully in Greek, together “ΠΑΤΕ ΣΤΑ ΒΑΘΗ ΤΟΥ ΤΑΡΤΑΡΟΥ! ΓΙΑΧ!!” (Translation: GO INTO THE DEPTHS OF TARTARUS. (battle cry)) and then after that, we placed Atlas back on the mountain, holding up the sky where he belonged. Then the other Titans we chained up and threw them into Tartarus. We entrusted Hades with the task of making sure that none of them escaped through the opening. And, we all left.

Back at Olympus, we had a great party, with so much food and drinks that we all had to take huge portions back home. We had an amazing time. Jules and Annabelle lived close by, so we had sleepover and study parties all the time. Atlantis said during one of our sleepovers, “Well, I hope there are no more adventures for a long time.” We laughed but we all agreed. This battle was a lot of excitement that would last forever.
